Anicka Yin’s ‘In Love with the World’-Art Explorations
Anicka Yin’s ‘In Love with the World’
Last week I decided to head to the Tate modern gallery, and really immerse myself into the art as well as the artists.
I was lucky to experience Anicka Yi’s ‘In Love with the World’ exhibition at the Turbine Hall (post-industrial space within the heart of the Tate modern), for this exhibition she has created this artificial intelligence ecosystem within the space. The ‘Aerobes’ are inspired by sea creatures and mushrooms. The Aerobes are design to communicate with each other to create almost a bee like dance, she also uses sent trails that change week by week, to create a sense of evolution, (sadly I wasn’t able to experience the ‘scentscapes’ as I am still recovering from the aftereffects of Covid). I absolutely enjoyed this installation, as you can experience it from so many angles within the gallery itself. I felt like I was inside an aquarium not just as the viewer behind the glass, but I was also part of this ‘ecosystem’ which create the main question of “what would it feel like to share the world with machines that could live in the wild and evolve on their own?”
This exhibition is only available until the 6th of February 2022 and its totally free of charge.
It is also suitable to everyone and it’s a great experience, I recommend it!
